3 STEP HACK TO PITCHING LANDLORDS
1. Start an LLC
Businesses build their own credit as they age. Allowing you to build without needing good credit or rental history
The company name is step one of your brand. Think about
your business three years from now when you name it.
Businesses shield you from legal issues and judgements if the business fails. This makes the business more safe.
2. Tell landlords you are a corporate housing company
You’re a business, not an Airbnb host
Start the conversation in a way that can go multiple directions.
Don’t attempt to control the conversation from the beginning
Confidence in talking over the phone comes with practice and preparation.
3. Sell by analogy
Get to know the landlord to find out how much they know
about real estate
Meet them where they are mentally and try to find common
ground
Sell your business by focusing on what is similar to what the
landlord is comfortable with. Make the differences seem easy.
Selling by analogy is like looking in a mirror and seeing yourself
with sunglasses on. It’s almost completely you! (This was an
analogy)
